Due to an internal movement, Rabobank is currently hiring for a Settlements Manager in Sydney. This role is responsible for the management and oversight of the Country Banking (CB) Settlements Team that provides securities and settlement related services to Country Banking. The team are centralised in Sydney and manage the loan documentation process and funding for Rural finance transactions including equipment finance across Australia.

The Settlements Manager must have the ability to thrive in a fast paced and flexible culture requiring management of numerous transactions and request for support simultaneously under deadline pressure, while also quickly prioritizing and focusing on the most critical issues/projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Managing a high performing team carrying out the activities of CB Settlements who are coordinating and managing the loan documentation process from credit approval to funding
- Manage the process for the reconciliation of security documentation for custody purposes to ensure the Bank is in control of its security documentation
- Manage Service Level Agreements with Panel Solicitors to determine their level of compliance with those requirements
- Ensuring the quality of data provided by the front office is optimal and liaise with stakeholders and agree actions to lift quality where necessary
- Hind sighting settlement transactions carried out by the settlements team staff
- Reconciling the physical and electronic custody of the bank’s security documents
- Establishing and maintaining strong working relationship with the Branches, Panel Solicitors and Bank’s Operations department to enhance customer service and minimise errors
- Recording and resolution of operational/compliance incidents and findings in Archer within suitable timeframes
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement within the team and delivering on agreed continuous improvement initiatives

**Experience, Skills and Attributes you will bring to the role**:

- Proven experience managing a team within a high-volume environment
- Sound banking experience with exposure to Rural Loan processing or similar highly regarded
- Exposure to commercial loans processing (preferably with complex structures) with a solid understanding of loan documentation (management, analysis, and understanding of legal terminology)
- Specialist knowledge of loan security documentation and Letter of Offer
- Specialist knowledge of equipment finance settlements
- Demonstrated success with Continuous Improvement
