**THE ROLE**

We are looking for a Coordinator Planning and Development Services to coordinate the day to day and long term land use planning, development assessment and compliance functions within the Development and Environmental Services Business Unit. The Coordinator Planning and Development Services supports a team of land use planning, development assessment and compliance officers to deliver development assessment, strategic land use planning, development compliance and heritage outcomes for the community in accordance with council’s policies and procedures.

The Coordinator Planning and Development Services role provides exceptional customer experience and is the principle driver of the service area vision to Deliver Dreams to our community.

You will have tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, Strategic Land Use Planning, Environmental Science or other related discipline and relevant demonstrated experience in coordinating a diverse team.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating the review of Council’s strategic land use planning documents, including Local Environmental Plan, Development Control Plan, Local Contributions Plans and Local Strategic Planning Statement.
- Develop and oversee implementation a variety of programs
- Coordinate the collection of data used to inform strategic land use decision making, including its integration into Council statistical datasets and GIS systems.
- Contribute to the review of State government legislation, policies, programs and prepare submissions for Council as required by the Manager Development and Environmental Services.

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**

Demonstrated experience in the following is a must
- The NSW land use planning system, including development assessment, strategic land use planning and compliance requirements of local government;
- Use of Microsoft Office, electronic data management systems, workflows and GIS

This position is offered on a **permanent, fulltime** basis working **35 **hours per week.

Remuneration for this position is based on **grade 15 **of the salary system which equates to a base salary between $104,351 to $117,378, with additional benefits including a vehicle allowance of $15,989 per year.
