**ADD VALUE - THE ROLE**
The Development Planner contributes to important community outcomes and making a real impact for Singleton. The natural diversity of this role matches the natural diversity of the Singleton LGA meaning that every day will be different. This role sits within Council’s Development and Environmental Services, responsible for providing a progressive, relevant system that enhances social, economic and environmental land use development in a timely transparent way.
A degree or diploma in Town Planning and relevant experience in development assessment is essential for this role, complemented by sound knowledge of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979, Local Government Act 1993 and associated legislation, and sound written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare reports.
This position is offered on a **permanent, full-time** basis working** 35** hours per week.
Remuneration package for this position is based on **Grade 10**of Council's Salary System Protocol which equates to a base salary of $82,646 - $92,967 per annum plus superannuation and a vehicle allowance of $18,168 per annum totaling a **TRP of $100,814 - $111,135**per annum plus 12% superannuation.
