The Australian Salaried Medical Officers’ Federation (NSW) - _The Doctors’ Union_ - is a modern, progressive union dedicated to building a fair and just society founded on a strong public health system.

We are looking for a passionate and strategic leader to join our senior team as **Manager, Organising and Campaigns**. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of the Union and the NSW health system by empowering doctors to act collectively, win strong industrial outcomes, and strengthen their voice across the state.

**About the role**

As the **Manager, Organising and Campaigns**, you’ll lead a high-performing team of Organisers to build ASMOF’s collective power and drive meaningful, sustainable membership growth. This role is both strategic and hands-on: you’ll mentor and develop organisers, craft organising and recruitment strategies, support delegate structures, and ensure that every campaign strengthens our movement for the long term.

Working closely with the Executive Director and other senior managers, you’ll play a key role in shaping ASMOF’s strategic direction, integrating organising, industrial, and advocacy strategies to deliver powerful, member-led outcomes.

**About you**

You are a committed trade unionist with a passion for social justice and collective action. You’ve led teams and campaigns that mobilise people, build power, and win change.
You understand how to translate strategy into action, balancing the day-to-day demands of organising and bargaining with the big-picture goal of transforming workplaces and strengthening the union movement.

You will bring:

- Strong leadership and mentoring experience within a union or campaigning environment
- Proven success in developing and executing organising strategies that grow membership and empower delegates
- Deep understanding of industrial relations frameworks and collective bargaining processes
- Strategic insight, emotional intelligence, and a collaborative approach to leadership
- A demonstrated, active, and long-term commitment to trade union values and social justice principles.
