Marketing and Business Development Specialist, 12-month fixed term contract, NFP Sector

**Your new role**
The Marketing and Business Development Specialist is responsible for planning and delivering all marketing initiatives for all departments to expand the organisations' reach in the community. The role will work collaboratively with internal teams to develop business development strategies that will create stronger brand recognition, drive growth in terms of increasing the numbers of clients, increase revenue, develop effective reciprocal partnerships with key stakeholders, including funding bodies, Council, non-government organisations, and schools. It will be your job to drive brand awareness and build long-lasting partnerships. This is a role for someone who is an all-rounder, you will not be stuck behind a desk every day, you will be out and about meeting new people, promoting the brand and building client and student relationships.
**What you'll need to succeed**
Marketing
- Plan, manage and execute marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital marketing, social media, print, and events.
- Manage the organisations' website, including creating and updating content, optimising for search engines, and improving user experience.
- Write and publish blogs, articles, newsletters, and social media posts.
- Monitor and respond to social media comments and enquiries.
- Establish relationships with and liaise with the media for the purpose of advertising, press releases and public relations.
Business Development:
- Create and maintain relationships within and across the community and education sectors.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the market, target audience, competitors, and industry trends
- Identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Identify, develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as clients, referral sources, and industry partners.
- Contact potential stakeholders to establish a business relationship and or partnership initiatives.
- Create Alumni to collect data, feedback and testimonials.
- Plan and execute fundraising events and or campaigns to drive revenue.
- Represent the organisation at community events and networking opportunities.
Essential:
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in marketing and business development
- Experience in the not for profit and or education sectors is not essential but is desirable
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
- NSW Working with Children Check required
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing and business development strategies
**What you'll get in return**

- You can build up time in Lieu to take a day off each month
- 4-day working week role, 1 of these days will be wfh
