**Project Overview**

Sydney Metro West is part of Australia’s biggest and most technologically advanced public transport project; Once completed, this fully accessible driverless metro train service will connect Greater Parramatta and the Sydney Central Business District.

Revolutionising how people travel across Australia’s biggest city, Sydney Metro West will support employment growth and housing supply by doubling the rail capacity between the two areas, reducing journey times, and linking more communities to rail services. The project is expected to create around 10,000 direct and 70,000 indirect jobs during construction. Sydney Metro West will include nine stations and deliver rail services for the first time to communities at Burwood North, Five Dock, The Bays and Pyrmont. It will also provide faster, more frequent access to; Major employment at Parramatta and The Bays; the vibrant sporting and entertainment precinct at Sydney Olympic Park; and vital health and education services at Westmead.

**Position Overview**

The Change Manager will report to the Construction Director on the Sydney Metro Eastern Tunnel Package (ETP). The role will be the nominated Change Manager under the ETP deed and they will report directly to the construction director. Whilst the position will have no direct report, the Change Manager will work as an integrated team member across the delivery, commercial and project control functions. The Change Manager will lead the management and co-ordination of change from early warnings through to instruction. They will develop a strong working relationship with the contractors dedicated Change Manager and they will deal with complex multi discipline changes in a high pace environment to ensure value for money is achieved on the Incentivized Target Cost Contract.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Model good leadership to inspire direction and delivery, develop people, and drive change. Live the NSW Public Sector and Sydney Metro organisational values to achieve outstanding outcomes for the organisation and customers.
- Review and analyse the impacts of changes that their package of works may have on interfacing contractors and vice versa. Be familiar with the package cost & schedule baseline and understand the implications of their decisions against these.
- Produce reports that capture salient information pertaining to project integration
- Be responsible for Project updates to the Project Delivery matrix
- Support the Project Management Office to ensure that the package risk register is consistent across packages of similar scopes.
- Chair integration forums led by tunnelling package
- Provide input and support to various Project Integration Groups
- General coordination across all functions within the Package team
- Prime point of contact for integration back to the central team, to grab and implement project wise strategies
- To attend and support the applicable technical working groups
- To own and maintain Critical Items Action Report (CIAR)
- Contribute to the successful handover and completion of the works, ensuring that follow on contractors have all of the information they need to undertake their works.

In order to perform the above duties, the Change Manager should have the following qualifications:

- Recognised degree in an engineering, scientific or other appropriate discipline;
- Current engineering, construction management recognised chartership or professional licence; or working towards.
- At least 12 years of experience in the construction industry, 5 years experience of which will be in the rail industry
- General knowledge of all phases of construction operations relating to engineering, construction and field activities, especially as they relate to tunnels, underground excavation and eventual rail operations;
- General knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, subcontracts
