ABB Motion Services Business is currently looking for a Field Service Manager, Drives (East Coast). Based in Moorebank, NSW with a responsibility for the Eastern States, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations and management of our state-of-the-art Drives repair center, as well as the field service activities. Managing a team of Field Service Engineers and workshop staff, this role could suit a Service Engineer wanting to step into an office-based role or could be a Service or Workshop coordinator ready for additional responsibility. Either way, you are organized, analytical and customer focused, able to handle the changing priorities typical of a service business. The position will be based in Moorebank, Australia and reports into the Motion Services Operations Manager.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Supervising a team of service engineers to contribute to the execution of the service strategy and service growth by focusing on delivering timely, high-quality, cost effective service offerings, solutions and projects (e.g. field service, repair) for customers
- Ensuring efficient and cost-effective repair results that meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and repair processes
- Maintaining the HSE focus in your area, with compliance to health, safety and sustainability directives. Assessing risks and safety hazards and implementing plans to ensure people and equipment safety
- Showing personal commitment to HSE by conducting sustainability observation tours consistently
- Ensuring customer focus, understanding of sense of urgency and caring in the direct area of responsibility
- Utilizing available resources through proper planning and scheduling to meet delivery targets (e.g., OTD, response time, ordered service offerings, update of installed based data)
- Ensuring that materials and components to feed service delivery are provided optimizing cost, stock, and timing
- Driving performance of the field service and workshop activities, following lean methodology and by measuring key performance indicators (KPI's) and driving corrective actions based on them
- Ensuring that all service team members are certified in line with global certification and local regulations aligned to global competency assessment process and supporting the process of career development planning for team to ensure that they develop capabilities and competencies needed by the operation

**Your background**:

- Experience in a service/workshop environment
- Leadership/People management experience
- A keen focus on safety and a demonstrated record of implementing safety best practices
