Business Support Officer

The role
The Business Support Officer is responsible for providing human resource administration activities, information management, procurement and financial services for the System Policy Branch.
You may be required to assist senior business staff with monthly and quarterly reporting processes, accessing and collating data and information for reports, and processing journals.
Adept at understanding and anticipating the needs of a team, you will be skilled at recognising when additional tasks need to be done to support your Business Support colleagues, and have the ability to provide back-up executive, administration and/or correspondence support, and other duties as directed, at short notice.
The successful person
To be considered for this role, you will be a team player, with demonstrated experience and knowledge of departmental budgetary processes, human resource processes, and reporting requirements within a large complex work environment. You will also demonstrate the ability to extract, collate, and interpret information and be able to present diverse business reports using data. Intermediate to advanced skills using the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook, are required. You will be highly organised, demonstrate strong problem-solving ability, initiative, flexibility and the ability to multi-task in a busy and fast-paced work environment.
Additionally, you will demonstrate high-level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability deal effectively with sensitive issues and people at all levels. A strong working knowledge of MyHR and S/4HANA, or equivalent HR and finance systems, will be highly regarded.
