Business Support Officer

As Business Support Officer, Business Management, Business and Service Support, you will provide support, advice, and information to staff on a range of workforce management practices. Your role will require you to:
- Prepare accurate establishment and staff data reports on a regular basis for Housing and Homelessness business areas and analyse and interpret data to enhance clarity and usefulness.
- Manage recruitment and advertising requests by verifying that these are in accordance with departmental practices, actioning these within the required time frames and ensuring the requests fulfil client requirements.
- Ensure proposed establishment variations comply with establishment management principles and departmental policy prior to delegate approval and/or processing and ensure accurate records are maintained.
- Manage the processing of operational workforce management data, including appointments and staff movements as per the establishment management program (EMP) and HR delegations.
- Contribute to the development of role profiles through the provision of advice, support and guidance.
- Provide advice and guidance to Housing and Homelessness business areas on workforce management operational processes and internal workforce management business practices.
- Prepare and review briefs and correspondence for senior management approval and endorsement.
- Participate as a member of a team by building and maintaining cooperative relationships and work autonomously on projects or tasks.
- Operate a range of Microsoft office software packages including Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Excel.
- Supporting and helping maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.
