A rewarding and worthwhile opportunity exists with ACT Leisure Program as a Support Worker.

ACT Leisure Program is a disability service provider providing rewarding and comprehensive support to NDIS participants. We pride ourselves on providing our clients with worthwhile recreational activities such as art and cooking classes, walking groups and weekly barbecues.

Due to rapid growth within our business, we are searching for experienced Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis

Location
- Australian Capital Territory (ACT)

About the Role
- Provide assistance with community access and recreational activities
- Provide assistance with personal care such as showering, toileting etc.
- Provide assistance with manual handling and/or the use of support mobility equipment such as wheelchairs
- Provide transportation and help with day-to-day responsibilities
- Provide assistance with domestic tasks such as cleaning

About You
- Relevant qualifications (Cert III or Diploma) in Disability, Individual Support or Community Services or,
- Friendly and enthusiastic personality who has professional experience in the disability sector
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Be reliable and willing to go the extra mile
- Have an understanding of the NDIS
- Have a personal interest in our various programs including; art classes, cooking classes, horticulture & astronomy.
- Must have a valid National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
- Must have a Working with Vulnerable People Check or willingness to obtain one
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one
- Current First Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain one
- Current Administration of Medication Certificate or willingness to obtain one
- Current Manual Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain one
- Available to work varying shift hours
- Available to work across the ACT if required
- Legal rights to work in Australia
- Own transport and current Australian Drivers License

What Next?

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 15 per week

**Salary**: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Evening shift
- Flexible hours
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Vulnerable People Registration (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)
