The Infectious Disease unit are seeking a permanent consultant to support the Diabetes Foot Service clinic. The Diabetes Foot Service is a multidisciplinary team with key members from Endocrinology, Vascular Surgery, Diabetes Education, Infectious Diseases and Podiatry.

The position is 0.1EFT (7 Hours) per fortnight.

The clinic runs every Tuesday PM from 1300 - 1630 at our Footscray campus.

This role will join the Infectious Diseases Unit which provides inpatient and ambulatory care to patients with infection related illness, as well as a consultative service to other units within the health service to assist in the management of infections. This service is provided across all Western Health campuses including out of hours. The service offers inpatient and consultation services physically located at Sunshine and Footscray Hospitals and outpatient clinics at Footscray Hospital.

**To be Successful in this Role, you**:

- Have FRACP with accreditation in Infectious Diseases and an interest in Diabetes and antimicrobial stewardship
- Have a current Australian medical registration and credential for the position (Specialist Year 1 - 6)
- Can demonstrate an ability to make decisions and support rationale and clearly communicate decisions to relevant parties
- Have a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Have a passion for providing expert care within public health in the west
