**Advanced Trainee - Addiction Medicine / Infectious Diseases**
- This is a full-time role reporting to 2 units, Addiction Medicine and the Victorian Infectious Disease Service (VIDS). This role would be suitable for an Advanced Trainee doing dual training in Addiction Medicine and Infectious Diseases with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
- The registrar would be supervised by an addiction medicine physician (FAChAM) for the treatment of substance use disorders, and a consultant infectious disease physician (FRACP) the management of infectious diseases
- The role is based in the Addiction Medicine Service for 6 months of the year and VIDS for 6 months of the year. In both roles, the registrar will focus on people with addiction and infectious disease issues and will have access to be addiction medicine and infectious disease consultant supervision.
- Both Addiction Medicine and VIDS are located within the Department of General Medicine, within the Division of Medicine & Community Care Services.
- The Addiction Medicine Service provides a consultation liaison service to RMH inpatients, ED presentations (including the ED crisis Hub), outpatients, and in an outreach model in partnership with a local community health service. VIDS provides inpatient and outpatient care and consultation to other departments and sub-specialty units.

**Your new role**:

- This role is to provide support to people requiring addiction medicine input and hospital-level care to people in the community. Patients could be RMH hospital inpatients, Emergency Department patients, or patients of local community health
- Partner with people leaders to provide contemporary, innovative and accurate best practice advice and support on operational and strategic employee relations matters
- Implement a strategic and consistent employment relations approach across the organisation in relation to workplace investigations, EBAs, policies, and procedures.
- Build capability in managing employment relations matters by educating and coaching leaders in championing culture change.
- Lead the bargaining and implementation of multiple Enterprise Agreements across the organisation
