You will work on developing models of care for communicable diseases, particularly blood borne viruses and sexually transmitted infections, within pharmacy settings.
- The models of care you will work on will encompass testing, treatment and prevention.
- Depending on your expertise and interests, the PhD program could harness a range of topics spanning multiple areas.
You will join our multidisciplinary team, including infectious disease physicians, nurses, pharmacists, public health practitioners, data scientists and health economists.
This is a full-time candidature for a 3-year period. You will be encouraged and supported to gain other competitive PhD scholarship funding.
The PhD must be conducted from our head office in Melbourne, however, hybrid work arrangements are available.
Key Responsibilities:
This PhD scholarship is only open to Australian citizens or permanent residents, as eligibility to enroll in the relevant program requires this status.
The PhD program must be undertaken through Monash University School of Translational Medicine.
Essential Requirements:
- An undergraduate degree (First Class Honours or Master's) in Nursing, Medicine, Pharmacy, Public Health, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Psychology or related discipline.
- Demonstrated interest in improving health outcomes for communities.
- Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated communication skills.
Prior experience working in public health, nursing or pharmacy and some experience with clinical datasets is preferred but not essential.
