**The Company**:
You will be working for a company that is a market leader in their field, providing Australians with well-known food products for decades. This well-established and iconic business is seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to join the team to drive awareness and implementation of Quality processes for the site.

**This role is full time hours, Monday to Friday and based in the Southeastern suburbs of Melbourne.**

**The Role**:
Reporting to the Quality Supervisor your key responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining product quality and food safety standards compliance across the business
- Support the development, implementation, ongoing maintenance and simplification of the site’s Quality management system (including HACCP, BRC, GMP, internal audit system, document control and regulatory compliance)
- Daily quality activities including line walks, product release and foreign material investigation to ensure the safe manufacture of conforming product
- Investigate consumer complaints, report findings and determine corrective actions
- Drive the continuous improvement process for quality across the entire site and increasing awareness.

**Your Background**:
To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

- Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Microbiology or related industry.
- Experience as a quality assurance officer in a food manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.
- High level of communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence diverse audiences.
