Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Energy Market Settlements Analyst.

The Market Settlements area manages energy settlements with market counterparts and is responsible for validating the wholesale purchase of gas and electricity and ensures the correct end-to-end reconciliation in line with company objectives and contractual obligations.

This role will see you managing the timely settlement and accurate reconciliation of wholesale and bilateral energy contracts.

**Other responsibilities include**:

- Analysis and interpretation of reconciliation data and the provision of information, findings, and presentation of resolutions to stakeholders and management;
- Recommend and implement the appropriate process and/or system enhancement to resolve issues.

**The successful Market Settlements Analyst will be tertiary qualified in a business or other related discipline, with strong business acumen, high level of accuracy, and attention to detail.**

**Additionally, the role requires the following skills and experience**:

- AEMO settlements are essential;
- Strong background in data analysis;
- The ability to meet strict settlements and reporting deadlines;
- Capability to identify errors and work towards resolutions in a timely fashion;
- Ability to use SQL (desirable)
