**What You Will Be Doing**
The Porter for Allied Health Services role is predominantly responsible for transporting sub-acute inpatients to and from allied health individual and group sessions. There is also a range of other duties that will contribute to providing a safe and supported environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
**What You Need**
We anticipate you will have:
- Certificate III in Patient Services Assistance or Certificate III in Health Service Assistance
- Experience working in a health care setting
- Ability to work as an effective team member
- Willing to accept feedback
- Demonstrated ability to actively support change by adjusting work practices
- Ability to meet inherent requirements of the role
- Sound computer literacy skills
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously
- Experience in maintaining a clean, hygienic and safe environment under the Cleaning Standards for Victorian Health Facilities 2011 (desirable)
- Experience with and competence in safely transferring patients from bed/chair to wheelchair (desirable)
