**What You Will Be Doing**

The Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant (AHA) will competently provide intervention for inpatients and outpatients requiring Physiotherapy services. This role requires working with a person-centred approach to provide efficient and safe patient care within a defined scope of practice. The role will involve supporting group and individual exercise programs for orthopaedic outpatients and assisting with inpatient patient care when required. The role performs administrative and other support functions within the physiotherapy department, including maintaining equipment stock, ordering and equipment cleaning.

The AHA will provide supervision and mentoring to other AHA staff and will assume teaching responsibilities for AHA students.

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have:

- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting group exercise programs
- A sound understanding of scope of practice in an acute inpatient setting
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated competence with IT systems

**Additional Requirements**
