**The opportunity**

We currently have an opportunity for a **Program Manager** to join a small but collaborative group on a permanent full-time basis in the Motorway Partnerships East Team which includes the Eastern Distributor, the Cross City Tunnel and the M5 South West Motorway. The Program Manager provides operations and maintenance compliance assurance and technical oversight for the operating phase of Sydney’s public private partnerships motorway concessions.

The role provides technical advice and guidance on operations and maintenance issues to the Motorway Partnerships team to ensure that motorways provide a safe and effective contribution to the Sydney road network, comply with the project deeds and the planning conditions for approval and meet performance objectives for the motorway network.

Some of the key tasks of the role include:

- Support the Senior Motorway Partnership Managers in the development of interface and contract change agreements for third party, concessionaire or government-led infrastructure projects that impact the motorways, focusing on the technical and operational requirements of the Project Deeds and risk management strategies.
- Provide analysis, advice and guidance on operations and maintenance issues to the Senior Motorway Partnership Managers and provide high-level reports and documents that clearly and effectively address complex and strategic issues, to support TfNSW’s required outcomes for the motorway network
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Motorway Partnerships team performance and compliance assurance systems, procedures and practices to enable monitoring and auditing of motorway performance, analysis of results and then appropriate action or make recommendations for resolution of issues
- Work with environmental SMEs across the organisation to manage the environmental impact of our operations, including managing the environmental assessment and approval process for motorway operations, maintenance or enhancement works by reviewing environmental assessments prepared by the motorway operators.

**About you**

We are looking for someone who has demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management, procurement procedures, commercial acumen and contract management skills, ideally with exposure to construction or maintenance projects relating to roads or motorways.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for the role. You will be able to build rapport and develop strong stakeholder relations. The role works in partnership with the motorway operators, so you will leverage these relationships to seek the appropriate advice and information required to inform your decisions, as well as negotiate outcomes and overcome challenges.

A four-year engineering degree from an Australian University or equivalent overseas qualifications is essential.

**Salary and Benefits**

The salary for this position is Engineering Level 4- ($150,887 to $ 160,995) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
