Environmental Monitoring

AE is in search of an experienced Operations Manager to head up their regional office.

This role will report directly to the Managing Director and be a part of the Senior Leadership Team.

Assured Environmental (AE) is a well-established, reputable, environmental consultancy business that has a solid history of success working on projects in Australia and Overseas.

With Head Office based in Brisbane, we have an interstate office in Sydney and are now looking to add an additional regional office to further our service delivery.

As a specialist company, our team undertakes work across Australia and internationally working to support clients on their regulatory requirements across air quality and odour monitoring, modelling, and assessment services.

**About the role**
- Providing timely, exceptional project deliverables on air quality projects (focussed mainly on stack testing at industrial facilities, however, extends into ambient, odour and OH&S monitoring).
- Working to strict schedules whilst maintaining product quality
- Writing of technical reports and quotes in a timely manner in accordance with client expectations
- Laboratory analysis in accordance with Company procedures
- Leveraging and developing relationships to build long-term business partnerships
- Maintaining effective relationships with regulatory personnel

Other management duties include:

- Recruitment and supervision of all staff to the regional office. From project planning, to onsite, laboratory to report writing, oversee and support staff in a positive and quality focused manner.
- Make provision for staff to be trained via individually tailored performance plans according to corporate strategy.
- Review and approve technically accurate and professionally presented scientific reports.
- Ensure adherence and promote participation in quality and safety standards
- Be responsible for meeting team budgets and managing staff utilisation
- Report and support the Managing Director by participation in annual business planning, targets, and budgets allocation
- Identify and support business development opportunities

**Skills, experience and qualifications**

This role is suited to someone with more than ten years’ experience with the following skills:

- QSTI or MCERT accreditation/certification
- Post-secondary university education in environmental science or environmental management
- Technical experience in air and odour monitoring and compliance field
- Previous management experience of running an office or teams of people
- Proven experience leading and running large source testing campaigns

**Salary**: $96,500.00 - $140,000.00 per year
