**About the role**
The Claims Team Leader is responsible for the achievement of the claims team objectives in relation to the processing of claims and in the ongoing development of the team. Balancing productivity and meeting service level agreements are critical to this role, whilst creating an engaging and collaborative team environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage team members by building and maintaining a culture of service excellence within the team to exceed service SLA’s
- Provide direction, empower, motivate and develop team in order to achieve business unit, team and individual goals
- Identify any gaps in claims process and action and escalate where appropriate
- Liaise with HCF clinical team and ancillary team on any clinical issues and/or unusual billing practices identified in assessing
- Ensure claims are processed accurately, within SLA’s and in accordance with processes and procedures
- Manage all member or provider complaints effectively
- Ensure all training material/claims manuals are updated and reviewed annually
**About You**
- Extensive experience in a claims management role or similar
- Sound organisational skills and ability to perform required tasks on a timely basis with mínimal supervision
- Ability to adapt positively to frequently changing work practices and needs
- High degree of computer literacy - MS Office, Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to set own and team priorities to ensure objectives are met
