**About the Role**
The Department of Transport and Planning is seeking a Manager for Portfolio Facilities and Leasing within the Accommodation and Workplace Services branch. This key leadership role focuses on facilities management, leasing activities, and oversight of key workplace contracts across the State. Responsibilities include aligning leasing and facilities activities with accommodation strategies, ensuring operational efficiency, and leading a team to provide specialist advice to various stakeholders. The role requires compliance with legislation, best practices, and financial management, as well as implementing governance frameworks to manage risk and service delivery. Additionally, the Manager will oversee key contracts, including the workplace solutions contract at the Ringwood site, and lead agency staff attached to these contracts. **Position Outcomes / Accountabilities**
- Lead the delivery of leasing and facilities activities in alignment with the Department’s accommodation strategy and ensure the effective management of DTP’s operational property portfolio to improve operational and financial efficiency, to improve asset performance.
- Provide professional and expert advice and support in relation to DTP’s operational property portfolio, including lease management, in accordance with relevant legislation, budgetary and financial management practices and governance frameworks such as the Asset Management Assurance Framework (AMAF).
- Identify risks and issues, make recommendations and prepare professional briefs, business cases and advice which support timely decision making and reporting of risks.
- Develop and maintain highly constructive relationships, working collaboratively with clients, business partners, Transport entities, internal and other stakeholders, in particular the Department of Treasury and Finance’s Shared Service Provider.
- Provide effective strategic, tactical and financial operations across the team, including financial management, resource management, compliance and risk management; decision-making and governance frameworks; and innovation and business improvements.
**Key Selection Criteria** - This leadership role involves overseeing facilities management, leasing activities, and key workplace contracts across the State. You will align these activities with accommodation strategies and manage complex property portfolios, particularly within the government sector.
