**Are you looking for a role where you can make a difference?**

As a **ParentsNext Support Officer** you will have the opportunity to establish individualised employment and training pathways for parents at risk of welfare dependency, utilising external service providers, employers and RTO’s to increase parents work readiness. SYC delivers employment services at over 50 locations throughout Australia, and you’ll be working across **Dandenong and Franksto**n site.

In this role, you’ll be part of a supportive and result driven team who are dedicated to our vision of wellbeing, independence and opportunity for everyone. Day to day activities will include:

- Working collaboratively to build positive relationships with employers and participants
- Actively promote and market participants to potential employers helping to create employment opportunities
- Achieving sustainable employment outcomes for participants by providing support to participants to develop skills and abilities
- Referring participants through training, counselling and other services to increase long term employment outcomes
- Actively engage with relevant stakeholders to promote ParentsNext services to potential participants to maximise direct registrations.

**About You**
- Excellent communication skills with well-developed verbal, and written skills, and the ability to prepare and conduct effective presentations.
- Self-motivation and initiative, with well-developed organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and attend to multiple tasks and priorities.
- Interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills along with the ability to identify innovative and lateral solutions to problems

**For this role, you will need to**:

- Be willing to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check
- Be eligible to work in Australia
