This federal government branch manages Core programs that plays a key role in Cyber Affairs and Critical Technology. The program works with a range of KEY stakeholders for the purpose of gaining access to data that has been stored. The team’s work encompasses communications, operations, stakeholder engagement, program delivery, policy, cyber strategy, and capability. The team is currently seeking an innovative and driven individual to join a busy and expanding team responsible for program delivery on cyber and critical technology issues.

**Your new role**
***
As a Project/Policy Officer, you'll manage cyber and critical technology research project grants between Australia and India using SmartyGrants. With exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving and project management skills, you'll act as the main point of contact for strategic briefing coordination and events involving the project. You'll also assist with ongoing grant processes while adhering to relevant legislation, regulation, policies and guidelines. The role may require travel, and an understanding of government processes and international relations is desirable. The ability to work within a team and take direction is essential for success in this position.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To succeed in this role, you will be a high-performing individual with demonstrated professional experience working as a APS6 Project/Policy Officer within the Australian Public Service. As well as this, you will have:

- Be self-motivated, possess good judgement and have a demonstrated ability to operate flexibly and under limited supervision.
- Possess strong skills and experience in program management, including contract management, implementation and budget management.
- Exhibit a high degree of professionalism during regular stakeholder engagement, including with Australian Government agencies, service delivery partners and partner governments.
- Ideally possess experience in delivering government-funded programs and the use of SmartyGrants
- Possess strong Government writing skills including the ability to draft briefs and talking points
- Minimum Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance.
