Review, develop and implement crucial border protection policies | Central Canberra location

**Your new company**
This critical Federal Government Department is dedicated to protecting and managing Australia's borders, and are currently looking to expand their capabilities by engaging adaptive and experienced APS6 Policy Officers.

**Your new role**
This position will see you undertake a range of policy functions including:

- Developing and recommending appropriate policy options to address Government objectives
- Leading and assisting in the development of Ministerial briefings and submissions on regional processing, resettlement and counter-people smuggling matters
- Liaising with other policy areas within the Department and key taskforces
- Effectively managing relationships and communications with external stakeholders

**What you'll need to succeed**
To excel in this position you will have:

- Existing policy development experience
- Advanced written and oral communication skills
- Highly development attention to detail
- The ability to operate in a dynamic and supportive environment

To be eligible you MUST be an Australian Citizen, and hold or be able to obtain a minimum Baseline AGSVA security clearance.
