Our Federal Government client is seeking an
**Export Policy/Project Officer **who can undertake research and analysis to inform policy and program development

**About the role**:

- Undertake research and analysis to inform policy and program development
- Prepare briefing materials, correspondence, reports, and other products for senior staff
- Prepare and review industry reports, policy, instructional material and stakeholder meeting papers to progress programs
- Engage and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Provide technical and professional advice relating to export operations and support decisions to fulfill the department’s regulatory role
- Supervise staff, guiding work priorities both autonomously or as part of a team

**Ideally you will have**:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate complex and technical issues effectively
- Motivation to work independently with limited direction
- Demonstrated ability to engage with other staff and manage significant issues or projects
- Ability to develop and support complex relationships with a range of stakeholders
- The ability to represent the branch in a professional and informed manner
- The ability to prioritise tasks and produce high quality work within agreed timeframes

**Desirable**:

- Trade policy, program, export legislation or agricultural industry experience
