This is an incredible opportunity to be part of the community engagement team of a long-standing not-for-profit organisation.
- Permanent Part-time; 30 hours per week
- Located in the South-East Sydney area
- Remuneration based on experience SCHADS Level 4 to 6 + Super

**The Role**

This is a highly dynamic and engaging role, where no day is the same. It involves developing and implementing practical and creative ways to support vulnerable people within the community, delivering these programs, and forming key relationships with stakeholders and local community organisations.
- Facilitate ongoing programs and workshops for the community; with a focus on early interventions strategies for families and children
- Actively participate in the planning of community engagement strategies to create a community-centered environment
- Support and mentor volunteers and students participating in programs
- Develop creative ways of being involved with the community through a variety of touchpoints
- Identify and engage with key stakeholders such as partner organisations, local schools, community hubs, and local members of the community
- Provide input in relation to budget allocation for program costs and opportunities for future funding
- Actively promote the brand, and represent the organisation in the local community

**You will be successful in this if you bring**:

- An enthusiastic, positive and resilient attitude toward being involved in community engagement and outreach
- An understanding of working with vulnerable members of the community and early intervention strategies
- Previous experience working in a local community through outreach or center-based support
- Facilitation experience or prior experience delivering workshops or activities to the community (or a willingness to learn/train)
- A creative flair and an eagerness to think outside the box
- A passion for connecting with stakeholders and building strong relationships within the community
- Qualifications in community services, social work, or children and family would be highly regarded
- Leadership experience would be highly regarded
- Australian Drivers License, Working with Children Check, Two COVID-19 Vaccinations, and willingness to complete a Police Check are essential
