**About the Area**
The School of Humanities and Social Inquiry consists of a collection of Discipline areas, including History, Philosophy, Sociology, Politics and International Studies, Indigenous Studies, and Languages. We are a leading team of scholars who train students to think historically, philosophically and politically about the world, societies and cultures. We aim to equip students with the critical, analytical and interpretation skills necessary to question existing beliefs, social systems and institutions, and make a real impact on the world. The School is home to the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of International Studies, and the Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics degrees.
The Discipline of Philosophy has teaching and research strengths in ethics and bioethics, logic, temporality, race and gender, philosophy of social and political thought, political phenomenology, philosophy of science and epistemology, philosophy of medicine, and environmental philosophy.

Introduction to philosophy
Logic (100 level)
Ethics / Bioethics
Philosophy of science and epistemology
Philosophy of mind and cognition
Political philosophy
Philosophy of race and gender
Environmental philosophy
Philosophy of medicine
