**About the Area**
The School of Humanities and Social Inquiry consists of a collection of Discipline areas, including History, Philosophy, Sociology, Politics and International Studies, Indigenous Studies, and Languages. We are a leading team of scholars who train students to think historically, philosophically and politically about the world, societies and cultures. We aim to equip students with the critical, analytical and interpretation skills necessary to question existing beliefs, social systems and institutions, and make a real impact on the world. The School is home to the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of International Studies, and the Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics degrees.
The Discipline of Indigenous Studies has a teaching and research focus on the historical and contemporary issues that impact on Indigenous individuals, families and communities. This includes a focus on cultural, political, economic and social factors that have shaped, and continue to shape the everyday lives of Indigenous people on a local, national and global scale.
**About the Role**
We are seeking educators with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Indigenous Australia, Indigenous research methodologies, Indigenous knowledge systems, contemporary Indigenous issues, Indigenous people and the environment.
