Preparing **drawings, plans, and designs** for mechanical engineering projects under the direction of engineers.
- Assisting with the **design and modification of mechanical equipment, plant, and fabricated components** for client projects.
- Selecting and recommending **appropriate tools, equipment, and materials** for workshop and site use.
- Assembling and installing **new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools, and hydraulic/pneumatic power systems**.
- Undertaking **estimates of material costs, quantities, and machine requirements** to support tendering and project scheduling.
- Performing and directing **field and workshop tests** on fabricated components and mechanical systems to validate compliance.
- Collecting and analysing **technical data**, conducting computations, and preparing **engineering diagrams and reports**.
- Organising and supervising **inspection and preventive maintenance** of machines and plant to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Ensuring that all **designs, assembly, and finished works comply** with specifications, contract provisions, and regulatory standards.
- **Qualifications and Experience Required**:

- Completion of a **Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology** (or equivalent qualification).
- Experience in an **engineering workshop or metal fabrication environment**, with exposure to plant, machinery, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in **CAD software** and other engineering tools will be advantageous.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
