To be successful the following is required:

  • Substantial experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Trade background or high-level mechanical aptitude.

  • In depth knowledge of GMP guidelines and requirements.

  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical along with regular drug and alcohol tests.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Focused with "can do" attitude.

  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as in unsupervised situations.

  • A dedicated attitude to following OH&S policies and procedures.

Duties include:

  • Assist engineers in the design and testing of mechanical components and systems.

  • Set up, operate, and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery used in mechanical design and testing.

  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.

  • Prepare reports, charts, and documentation related to test results and project progress.

  • Perform diagnostic checks, repairs, and routine maintenance on mechanical systems and components.

  • Support the fabrication and assembly of prototypes or mechanical parts.

  • Monitor and inspect systems for compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, production staff, and quality assurance personnel.

  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of engineering processes and results.

Prerequisites:

  • Experience in Pharmaceutical or an allied industry.

  • A Mechanical Trade Certificate or Certificate III in Engineering is preferred but not essential.
