  • Assisting with the design and modification of mechanical equipment, plant, and fabricated components for client projects.
  • Selecting and recommending appropriate tools, equipment, and materials for workshop and site use.
  • Assembling and installing new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools, and hydraulic/pneumatic power systems.
  • Undertaking estimates of material costs, quantities, and machine requirements to support tendering and project scheduling.
  • Performing and directing field and workshop tests on fabricated components and mechanical systems to validate compliance.
  • Collecting and analysing technical data, conducting computations, and preparing engineering diagrams and reports.
  • Organising and supervising inspection and preventive maintenance of machines and plant to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring that all designs, assembly, and finished works comply with specifications, contract provisions, and regulatory standards.
  • Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Completion of a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology (or equivalent qualification).
  • Experience in an engineering workshop or metal fabrication environment, with exposure to plant, machinery, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply mechanical design principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools will be advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
