**What your will be doing:

- Providing strategic advice and support to the Executive Director, Financial Systems and Services on financial and banking systems, services, and controls.
- Leading business process research, analysis and improvement activities and providing expert advice on business issues affecting finance systems and
operations.
- Identifying, recommending, and implementing strategic initiatives to improve business outcomes for departmental business partners.
- Developing and reporting on a program of controls monitoring activities that support the CFO Assurance Framework.
- Managing a range of SAP system maintenance and administration functions and providing SAP support service for business users.
- Developing business warehouse, data analytics and decision-making tools, which provides quality reporting to allow executive decision making.
- Managing the delivery of consolidated reporting in relation to late payments and debtor management for departmental executives.
- Managing the delivery of travel management services to assist the housing business.
- Manage the delivery of operational transaction processing and reporting services as they relate to bulk accounts, expenditure vouchers and outsourced service delivery.
- Manage ledger management, reporting and reconciliation services including cost centre journal and accruals.
- Communicate and lead with influence to convey and guide acceptance of complex financial accounting information, internal controls, financial delegations and policy matters to departmental governance committees, boards and diverse audiences to achieve organisational objectives.
- Deliver creative and innovative approaches to financial accounting, policy and governance support through formal and informal training to enable clients to maximise benefits to be derived from good financial management. This includes leading relevant internal projects and initiatives within the department.
- Establish and maintain strategic and effective working relationships within the department and across government agencies and other external bodies, particularly Queensland Treasury and Queensland Audit Office (QAO).
- Lead and manage staff in line with quality contemporary people and culture practices and policies.
- Foster an environment that values performance, customer service, continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high-quality services.
