**The opportunity
As our Claims Specialist, you will work very closely with our injury management, payroll and account teams and play a critical role in ensuring that our injured workers are compensated in line with the relevant state/territory legislation, and that Bupa’s recoveries are received in a timely and accurate manner.
To be successful in this role, you will have high attention to detail and excellent time management skills, able to deal with sensitive information and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is a permanent full-time opportunity, and you can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Adelaide with as much or as little WFH as you’d like (100% remote working is available)
**How will I help?**
Key accountabilities include:
- Responsible for collecting and preparing information required to calculate workers compensation payments and communicating these with the Bupa payroll teams.
- Accountable for ensuring that worker’s compensation payments are made in line with relevant state / territory guidelines & legislation, are accurate and processed in a timely manner
- Responsible for managing Bupa’s recoupable losses and monthly reconciliations relating to Workers’ Compensation
- Accountable for establishing and maintaining relationships with key business stakeholders, insurers, and third-party service providers to assist claims management processes
- Accountable for maintaining accurate records to inform regular injury management reporting targeted at upskilling managers in early intervention injury management processes

**What do I need?**
- Accredited Return to Work Co-ordinator (or working towards this/ willingness to complete on appointment)
- Experience managing a high volume of administrative tasks with strong attention to detail, ideally within the workers’ compensation, return to work, and/or payroll areas
- Knowledge and awareness of National Worker’s Compensation legislation
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience for individual's circumstances
- Strong written and verbal communication skills & proficiency with Microsoft programs
- The ability to work autonomously and have complex problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management and ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
