**Your responsibilities will include**:

- The F-35 Field Engineer Associate Manager co-ordinates the activities of the team of Technician Field Specialists generally referred to as Simulator Technicians. The TSS program employs 16 sim techs across two sites, Williamtown, NSW and Tindal, NT.
- The F-35 Field Engineer Associate Manager has direct experience and familiarity supporting the F-35 Training Devices and ensures that team members have or will achieve adequate qualifications and competency to sustain Pilot and Maintainer Training Devices.
- Duties include but limited to:

- Provide an appropriate level of support on business development opportunities for the Technical Support capability
- Proactively undertake all people management practices, Lead and mentor individuals
- Co-ordinate the on-the-job training requirements for the SimTech team.
- Maintain awareness of current issues involving the F-35 pilot and maintenance training devices, schedule maintenance, modifications, upgrades, and testing.
- Technical support for operations and maintenance of complex systems

**About you**:

- Essential
- Strong leadership and relationship building skills with the ability to manage through influence and form creative partnerships to identify issues
- Relevant Management/ Leadership training and/or qualifications

Desirable
- Significant experience in Defence or similar environments that require maintenance activities to be performed
- Advanced ability to manage multiple, activities,
- Advanced conceptual and analytical skills with strong attention to detail

**Special Requirements**:

- Applicants are required to hold & and maintain CoA NV1 security clearance with eligibility to obtain CoA NV2 security clearance.
