The Facilities Lead will be leading and coordinating all aspects of facilities management for multiple premises including maintenance, operations, WH&S compliance, security, staff parking and seating arrangements ensuring smooth running of the campus. This is a role based at our newly established facility in Fortitude Valley reporting to the National Security and Facilities Manager.
You will be a confident self-starter, able to take initiative and make sound decisions in a consultative and collaborative manner.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Planning and overseeing building works and/or renovation activities in partnership with business leaders
- Effective and timely communication to staff members regarding facility requirements, changes or disruptions
- Ensuring statutory compliance systems and WH&S requirements are met in accordance with Federal, State, Defence and Corporate requirements as required
- Responding to and managing requests for services and/or repairs as required including urgent emergency requirements
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure works are carried out within agreed timelines and according to operational requirements
- Logging, analysing and tracking maintenance requests
Essential Requirements:
- Must be an Australian citizen with a current Defence Security clearance at NV1 level
- Relevant qualifications and/or equivalent professional experience
- Demonstrated experience in building and facilities management including building maintenance, services and upgrades (defence industry or defence establishment experience preferred)
- Proven experience working independently
- An effective communicator with experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across all levels of management
