***Governance, Risk, and Performance (GRP) is a Corporate Services business unit that delivers strong governance and risk management advisory and support services, promoting a governance culture, and optimising performance in the Department of Customer Service (DCS).?

GRP has a key management opportunity for a proactive leader to join the GRP team within the DCS. We are seeking people with excellent technical knowledge, demonstrated leadership, strong interpersonal and communication skills who are committed to world class customer service and business partnering qualities.

This role reports to the Director Governance (Regulation & Corporate)

***Key responsibilities include**:

- Lead engagement with customers and stakeholders, negotiate & influence outcomes, manage issues and awareness across all aspects of risk, governance & compliance.
- Working closely with other Line 2 - central expertise and ensure local Line 1 teams support and maintain governance advice, guidance across our diverse customer/stakeholders.
- Maintain a strategic and operational understanding of key customer priorities & challenges and lead the translation into measurable governance solutions and services.
- Stay abreast of policy obligations, insights, industry trends and practices, contribute to a best practice governance function for DCS.
- Collaborate effectively with others across corporate functions, and with governance colleagues to deliver targeted, seamless and effective governance solutions to customers/stakeholders.

**In conjunction with other Managers within Governance Services you will**:

- Lead governance advice and guidance to key stakeholders within our organisation, including: Key independent agencies, State Regulatory & Insurance Authority (SIRA) & Corporate Services functions.
- Evoke the desire and commitment from key customers & stakeholders to evolve and strengthen risk, governance & compliance within the DCS organisation
- Develop and mature our governance policies, frameworks and supporting tools to reflect the latest industry thinking and best practice
- Coordinates team activities to deliver functional and customer focused programs of work in the governance practice areas including risk, compliance, privacy, business continuity, insurance, corporate policy, and program evaluations.

**To be successful in this role you will demonstrate**:

- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to partner and negotiate with key and often multiple stakeholders simultaneously, to achieve common objectives.
- Demonstrated experience?in risk management, governance, compliance (incl. privacy), insurance and business continuity.
- A clear and effective communication style which creates two-way effective opportunity to connect with diverse interests.
- Proven ability in staying calm under pressure when dealing with challenging situations and unpredictable environments, responding effectively to multiple tasks and emerging issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to interpret complex business needs, by navigating a range of possibilities and problem-solving to achieve a beneficial result.

It will require engaging with Executive Directors, Directors and Managers across the Cluster, with a focus on the Regulation and Corporate segment within GRP - Corporate Services - DCS.?

Salary Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at $134,411 base plus superannuation
