**The Employment Opportunity**

The role is unique as while we are a Builder/Head Contractor, we are looking to gain control over the joinery packages of a number of current and future projects. The role therefore has a focus on joinery design and supervision, however will enable someone who has a background in this area, to expand their horizons into other aspects of the construction process.

The primary role relates to joinery/cabinet making and is to generally involve:

- Obtaining site measurements.
- Drafting of joinery shop drawings in accordance with the project design and client requirements.
- Generate cutting lists from the approved shop drawings for manufacture of components.
- Following up of manufactured components to ensure timely delivery in accordance with the overall construction programme.
- Checking of components to ensure quality, and that they are in line with cutting lists.
- Supervising and providing direction on installation.

The secondary part of the role will be to provide general project coordination across construction projects, with tasks/activities such as:

- Obtaining subcontractor quotes, vetting and recommending.
- Generating RFIs and responding to RFIs.
- Site coordination.
- QA.
- OH&S.
- Either a relevant trade or tertiary qualification.
- Be well presented and be able to communicate well in both written and verbal English.
- Be a driven character who is a self-starter.
- Have a willingness to learn, develop, and grow into more advanced and senior roles over time.
- Have experience in joinery design and the ability to use common industry software such as Cabmaster, Cab Vision etc. to generate shop drawings in accordance with project design, and generate cutting lists once approved.
- Are open to expanding into project coordination in not just one trade area, but the entire construction process.
- Joinery installation experience in addition to the above would be looked at favourably.

This is a role that would suit someone experienced in joinery and joinery design, but has the desire to be exposed to all facets of the construction process, with opportunity to develop over time.

**Job Types**: Temp to perm, Contract

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
