BASScare is a Not For Profit organisation which operates an integrated program of services including meals-on-wheels, residential care facilities, respite care, dementia specific services, retirement living, as well as planned activity groups at day centres, for older people who wish to remain active and engaged with their local communities.
**BASScare's Corporate Office** located in Canterbury, is currently searching for an experienced Quality and Compliance Partner for Residential and Retirement Living who is passionate about providing support and advice to Residential and Retirement Living Staff in all matters relating to Quality System requirements and can assist with ensuring effective service delivery and support of programs and activities. This is a Full Time Role, Mondays to Fridays. Immediate start preferred.
**About the role**:
The Quality and Compliance Partner will support the Residential and Retirement Living Business Unit in monitoring and driving the implementation of new Aged Care Standards, and maintaining compliance with the Australian Retirement Village Accreditation Scheme (ARVAS), and leading improvements in the Enterprise Quality and Risk Management Framework across the Residential and Retirement Living Services.
**Some of the duties you will be performing are**:
- Conduct quality audits across our Residential, and Retirement Living Services; and assist areas to implement corrective action.
- Identifies and escalates risk of care failures relating to non-conformance with organisational policies and procedures
- Build the capability of residential leaders in quality management systems and clinical governance processes
- Actively supports employees to understand and adhere to the organisation’s policies and procedures and Continuous Improvement Framework
- Maintain the governance systems to monitor and report on progress of continuous improvement plans at the service level to ensure the provision of quality service.
- Assist in developing and reviewing audit tools.
- Support all services with their ongoing accreditation and quality reviews.
- Assist in developing and reviewing policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and care.
- Build key relationships with service managers to implement effectiveness and priorities.
- Mentor and educate staff in clinical and compliance matters following Quality Audits outcomes accordingly.
- Assist in developing and facilitating Quality Meetings across the organisation by preparing relevant reports, meeting agendas and meeting minutes.
- Assist the EGM Q & CI to monitor organisational risks, staff and consumer incidents, SIRS reportable incidents for Residential Services and continuous improvement aspects.
- Prepare the monthly Quality and Risk Reports for Residential and Retirement Living Services.
- Review, develop and implement policies and procedures
- Identify and monitor compliance risks for Residential Services
- Model a culture that promotes quality and safety
- Provide expert advice on quality, compliance and outcome standards across Residential
- Lead the management of Residential and Retirement Living services accreditation requirements.

**About you**
- Demonstrated interest in Quality program and enthusiasm for improvement
- Well-developed communication skills
- Registered Nurse with current registration with AHPRA
- Minimum of 5 years experiences in a health care or aged care setting
- Internal auditor training (Desirable)
