The Transport Analytics Directorate enables the Department to become a more efficient and effective decision maker by creating and embedding products that transform how data is managed and used. We lead the Department's analytics capability through partnering with business customers to deliver analytics solutions and insights and by influencing and promoting better data management and usage practices.

**The Opportunity**
The Manager, Transport Futures is accountable to the Director, Transport Analytics for proactively preparing our organisation for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping policies, projects, and services that respond effectively to emerging trends, technologies and sustainable practices. Your focus will be on long term objectives, network optimisation, and innovative solutions including consideration of the best use of data and digital services.
- Leadership, including ability to lead a team and in doing so, foster a customer focused problem solving and continuous improvement mindset centred around a commitment to delivering value.
- Strategic thinking and ability to collaborate with wider DIT and transport futures related sectors.
- Ability to foster customer relationships and develop a clear understanding of custom processes and requirements, with the ability to expand thinking of customers to be future focussed.
- Knowledge of current and emerging transport trends, and experience delivering value in innovative environments.

**Requirements**:
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. data science, engineering, transportation planning, urban studies, human centred design or related field) is essential.

For appointment at the PO5 classification level, a degree level qualification in Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline or a recognised degree or recognised post graduate qualification in the discipline of Planning is required.

**Special Conditions**

Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel may be required.

**Remuneration**
**PO5 -** $124,449 to $130,253 per annum + superannuation
**MAS3 -** $127,859 per annum + superannuation
