**About the Company**:
Unidex Healthcare are a privately owned recruitment company established in 2001 and operate across Australia, with our main offices in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland. Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

**The Role**:
We are currently seeking Disability Support Workers to assist a 34-year-old female participant in Wellington Point, QLD, who recently sustained a spinal cord injury. Support is required Monday to Friday, approximately 8 hours per day, with shifts running from 6:00am to 2:00pm.

This role involves prompting and supervision across daily routines, including personal care, community access, assistance with rehabilitation exercises, and domestic tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and general cleaning. Support workers will also help establish structure, encourage independence, and assist the participant to engage safely in her day-to-day activities.

The participant is a mother of three young children and requires assistance with the school run in the mornings, as well as support to attend appointments. She is working toward goals related to improved strength, mobility and independence through exercise and increased community involvement.

Part-time and full-time hours are available for suitable applicants, with flexibility to accommodate your availability.

**Pay Rates**:

- Day shift **$38.75 per hour**:

- $0.99 travel allowance per km (applies only when travelling with participant to and from appointments.

**Skills & Experiences**:

- Australian Driver Licence
- Current National Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
- A minimum of 6 months of experience as a support worker, or relevant experience in a similar role
- Have excellent communication skills and a passion for making a difference
