About the role

Cure Care Australia is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Wellington Point, Queensland. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalised care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them live independently and participate actively in their communities. This is a casual work arrangement, offering flexibility to accommodate your lifestyle.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting Participants with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Providing companionship, social support, and facilitating community engagement for clients
  • Advocating for participants' rights and ensuring their needs are met
  • Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalised support plans
  • Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

What we're looking for

  • Relevant qualifications in disability support, community services, or a related field
  • Previous experience working with people with disabilities, preferably in a similar role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for making a positive difference in people's lives
  • A commitment to promoting independence, choice, and inclusion for people with disabilities
  • A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle (desirable)
