We are a well-established civil contracting company based in Mount Vernon servicing the Sydney region.

Our specialised services include:

- Subdivision civil construction
- Piling and shoring works
- Civil engineering
- Remediation
- Bulk earthworks and deep hole excavation
- Demolition

An opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and well-spoken **Compliance Administrator** to join our company.

**Key responsibilities include, but not limited to**:

- Comply with/enforce driver compliance with all government and regulatory requirement with special regards to National Heavy Vehicle Law (NHVL)
- Support the development of Quality systems and processes
- Assist in investigations on incidents and/or accidents.
- Coordinate, schedule, and audit vehicle maintenance repairs to include preventative, mechanical and electrical repair to trucks and trailers
- Ensure preshift checks, visual vehicle inspections and fault reporting processes are completed across the fleet

**Essential Criteria**:

- Proven knowledge of WHS requirement with regards to National Heavy Vehicle Law (NHVL) and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) regulations.
- Proven experience within the transport and logistics industry, with previous driver experience advantageous
- Sound administrative and record keep skills
- Strong knowledge of and commitment to WHS practices
- High level communication skills (written and oral)
- Ability to prioritise urgency and maintain effective response times
- Uses initiative to problem solve, can improvise, adapt quickly to changing circumstances and work under pressure

**The ideal applicant will possess**:

- Relevant qualifications
- Cert IV in Work Health and Safety
- Certificate IV Assessment & Workplace Training

**Experience in the following areas will be highly regarded**:

- Knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act
- Knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Regulation
- Knowledge of the NHVR scheme including Mass, Maintenance, Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility (CoR).
- Knowledge of relevant standards, codes of practice and an ability to interpret Acts, Regulations and awards and an understanding of case law and common law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy.
- Good communication and negotiations skills
- Be reliable, motivated and be able to work under pressure with changing priorities.

**Salary**: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mount Vernon, NSW 2178: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
