**Meet Athena, the Home Loan Wrecker
Athena has built Australia’s first cloud-native home loan platform, covering the full value chain to acquire, originate, service and fund residential mortgages. Fintechs targeting mortgages are typically only focusing on a narrow layer of the value chain (e.g. originations), then handing back to legacy bank systems. By tackling the full stack, Athena aims to cut the cost of running a mortgage business by 70% vs. legacy players, providing sustainable advantage.

Athena has raised $200m in equity funding to date in four funding rounds from leading investors including AirTree Ventures, Apex Capital, AustralianSuper, Hostplus, Macquarie Bank, RESIMAC Group, Rice Warner, Square Peg and Sunsuper. Most recently in October 2019, Athena closed $90m in Series D funding - the largest ever Australia-led venture capital investment round.

**What you get to do
**This is a senior leadership role within Athena, the position is responsible for:
**Broker Channel Industry Leadership**
- **Representing Athena in the broker channel - **attending events and elevating the profile of Athena and the Mortgage Choice white label product within the Broker channel
- **Own relationships with aggregators**:

- **Internal decision making **- leading discussions in Athena about topics such as opportunities, risks and investment decisions

**Distribution leadership**
- **Function management - **Responsible for broker sales and distribution function for Athena branded product and Mortgage Choice branded white label
- **Sales Performance - **Responsible for sales performance
- **Relationships with brokers - **accountable for Athena’s broker relationships
- **Leadership - **build out and lead the sales and distribution teams
- **Vendor management - **Responsible for managing vendors where required
- **Controls - **Responsible for design of Broker distribution specific controls
- **Risk events - **Responsible for resolution of risk events working with line 1 risk management resources
- **Process - **owner of process execution and joint owner of process design with Ops Transformation
- **Policy - **work with Cyber, Tech, Risk, and other functions to get to great policies that lead to great outcomes for Athena
- **Platform - **play a leadership role in setting the vision and requirements for the platform to achieve goals in broker
