**About the role**

Based at our Bendigo Head Office in either Sydney or Brisbane, this permanent, full-time** Regional Manager - Broker Distribution **role reports to the **Head of Broker Distribution **with key responsibilities relating to managing a team of 9 Business Development Managers and 3 Business Development Associates based in the northern region (Sydney, Canberra and QLD).

As the Regional Manager, you will ensure the teams within your region are achieving their sales performance metrics whilst also supporting the uplift of team engagement and goal achievement through a tailored support approach.

We are looking for a Regional Manager with strong leadership, change management, and sales coaching skills with experience in leading a high performing sales team. An individual that can engage with senior leadership within Bendigo Bank and deliver key metrics with confidence. The Regional Manager will also represent the bank externally with aggregators and industry stakeholders and play a key role in selling our service proposition to external partners.

We are ideally looking for a Manager who is happy to get involved with discussions at the ground level and drive activity, and who carries a strong personal brand of integrity and trust in the market that is reflective of Bendigo Bank and its ‘bank of choice’ status.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Proven leadership and development of a high performing sales team
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Sound knowledge of residential mortgages origination best practice
- Solid understanding of residential credit policy and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal, public relations and presentation skills
- Experience in presenting to large groups of 80 or more people
- Excellent flexible communication skills
- High level negotiation abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and deliver outstanding results
- Demonstrated skills in developing, coaching and mentoring sales professionals
- Experience working within Third Party Distribution with a major, non-major or non-bank would be highly regarded
- Experience leading a sales team through significant organisational change would also be highly regarded
