The Melbourne School of Professional and Continuing Education (MSPACE) works to broaden the University’s educational offerings in an increasingly competitive global environment for talent and skills.

MSPACE provides an institutional focal point for the development, delivery and promotion of professional, continuing and executive education programs and services for all academic divisions of the University.

MSPACE supports academic divisions to develop and deliver award and non-award education through a range of teaching and learning delivery modes and seeks to broaden opportunities for engagement in a variety of professional sectors.

In order to contribute towards these objectives, MSPACE supports and expands the University’s professional, continuing and executive education initiatives through the provision of a coherent, whole-of-University framework.

**About the Role**
The Industry Liaison Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and realising the benefits of effective business to consumer product development partnerships with industry stakeholders. Under the direction of the Senior Product Manager, and working closely with the Business Development team to identify opportunities, fully optimise these relationships, oversee endorsement and co-design contract deliverables, build trusting two-way relationships, and facilitate sharing of insights for future course development.

The successful applicant will have strong stakeholder management skills, working with a range of internal and external parties. They will act as a conduit between MSPACE and our industry partners, identifying opportunities to collaborate and cocreate, and making links to ensure these opportunities are actioned. They must be capable of balancing multiple partners and priorities through each stage of the product lifecycle - from ideation through to review and enhancement.

The position acts across a range of complex content, structure, policy and operational issues. The Industry Liaison Manager is responsible for the successful development of key industry relationship’s across the MSPACE portfolio. Frequently working with internal and external stakeholders, the incumbent will deliver outcomes which are cognisant of broader University and School aims and activities.

Responsibilities include:

- Communicating with partners to establish expectations, outline processes, partnership requirements and timelines for B2C endorsement and co-design arrangements and how feedback will be incorporated into course design.
- Under the direction of the Business Development Director, finalising endorsement and co-designing contractual agreements with industry partners.
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure that the logistics, timelines, and contractual deliverables of endorsement and co-design partnerships are effectively managed, resulting in the successful delivery of contract outputs.
- Regularly reviewing and evaluating endorsements and co-designing partnership performance and contract expiration, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations.

**About You**
To be successful in this role you will be informed about industry trends and developments to provide relevant advice and recommendations to clients. You will have high level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and influence a range of stakeholders across all levels of the organisation. You will be confident in your high-level problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise significant judgement.

You will also have:

- Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience in account management, industry engagement, project planning, negotiation and contracts management, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in negotiating contracts
- A track record of establishing and cultivating industry partnerships
- Experience co-ordinating, and where required supporting the set up
