**About Student and Scholarly Services (SASS)**
SASS provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.

The Careers and Employability (C&E) team and service support students to build, transfer and translate university learning, skills and other experiences into employability learning and work-related and opportunities.

**About the Role**
As the Careers & Employability Officer (Industry), you will work across the C&E service to ensure effective collaborations with external partners, including graduate employers, industry associations, and other relevant external organisations.

You will work directly with partner organisations to enable their presence in University activities, to meet both the needs of students seeking to engage with these organisations as a prospective employer, and for the organisations themselves as they seek to recruit their future workforce.

Responsibilities include:

- Identify and develop initiatives, working collaboratively with industry and faculty stakeholders to ensure a student-centred and coordinated approach to services and programs
- Develop and support existing programs and activities that link industry to students for the purpose of career exploration, professional networks and employability development
- Build strong working relationships and networks with key stakeholders across SASS, faculties, and other departments within the University
- Maintain the Careers Online jobs board, coordinate targeted communications to students, respond timely and professionally to employer enquiries and contribute to marketing and website content

Please note, work out of ordinary hours and travel may be required.

**About You**
You will have a commitment to providing high level customer service, including excellent planning and organisational skills, the ability to handle multiple demands, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

You will also have the proven capacity to work well in a team and independently, demonstrating initiative and self-motivation, particularly in a service-focused environment.

You will also have:

- A degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education/training and relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and program and event management
- Strong knowledge of current graduate recruitment practices and labour market trends
- Demonstrated experience in a student service environment with operational knowledge of student program delivery
- Fluency in a language other than English, aligned to key University stakeholder markets _(desirable)_
- Experience in a sales-focused environment_ (desirable)_
- To ensure the University continues to provide a safe environment for everyone, this position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check._
