**About the Role**

Responsibilities include:

- Leading the effective design and delivery of an efficient professional experience area to ensure MGSE students have an excellent learning experience which meets the requirements of their courses and prepares students for work in the education sector.
- Responsible for leading and managing a team of staff and providing direction, support and coaching to ensure that staff are developed and delivering to their full potential.
- Overseeing the operational management of MGSE’s internship program, including engagement with schools across Victoria, liaison with external stakeholders and government bodies, and supporting the process of selecting interns.

Your outstanding interpersonal skills will be essential to you in this role as they enable you to develop new partnerships, and also maintain the existing partnerships that MGSE has already established. An experienced manager, you are able to build capabilities within your team and foster a consistent, high-performance culture. You are no stranger to liaising with people at all levels of an organisation, able to build solid working relationships with everyone and work with senior members of staff on a regular basis. You should possess a good knowledge of education regulations covered by the Victoria Institute of Teaching, particularly with a focus on compliance. Ideally you will have clinical experience.

You will also have:

- Overseeing the operational management of MGSE’s internship program, including engagement with schools across Victoria, liaison with external stakeholders and government bodies, and supporting the process of selecting interns.
- Experience in managing a large professional experience or work integrated learning function, associated processes and systems, in a higher education setting.
- Experience in leading system design, process improvements and reform with a high degree of complexity involving diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- To ensure the University continues to provide a safe environment for everyone, this position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check._
