Are you a strategic and operational leader with a passion for safety, customer engagement, and business performance?

We are seeking a dynamic National Manager - Gases to oversee and drive the success of our Gases logistics operations. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the seamless coordination of safety, strategic, and operational plans, while managing the right portfolio of resources to deliver a profitable and high-performing business.

As the primary executive operational representative to our major Gases customer, you will play a key role in fostering strong partnerships and delivering exceptional service. You will also champion ‘The Toll Way’, embedding a unified culture of safety, people, customer focus, and operational excellence across the organisation.

As the National Manager - Gases, you will:

- Drive Safety Culture - Lead the implementation of Toll’s Safety Obsessed program, fostering a culture of care, accountability, and rigorous safety risk management.
- Operational Leadership - Oversee all logistics operations related to Gases contracts, ensuring strong governance, compliance, and standardised processes.
- Team & Culture Development - Provide inspirational leadership to build a high-performance team and a positive workplace culture focused on collaboration, capability uplift, and continuous improvement.
- Resource & Asset Management - Ensure optimal allocation of people, systems, financial resources, and assets to meet operational plans and drive productivity.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation - Champion initiatives that simplify processes, eliminate waste, and enhance value and profit performance across customer contracts.

Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in logistics or business-related discipline or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated management experience in transport, logistics or related industry

- Proven People Leadership - Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive organisational culture, and deliver strong results.
- Customer-Centric Mindset - Strong orientation toward customer service, with curiosity and insight into what creates value for customers.
- Strategic Problem Solving - Ability to consider a wide range of internal and external factors when making decisions.
- Analytical & Communication Skills - Strong analytical capabilities paired with superior written and verbal communication.
- Industry Knowledge & Compliance - Understanding of transport legislation, regulations, fatigue management, and dangerous goods handling.
- Commitment to Security & Collaboration - Willingness to meet licensing/training needs for security-sensitive operations and a collaborative approach to improving overall business performance.
