Sales Technical Support Team Leader

This is a challenging and rewarding, key role located in Mount Waverley in a highly regarded team that is dedicated to supporting the Greenfields Sales Team with Design and Siting Proposals. You will be required to support and mentor a small team while also delivering technical support to the broader Sales and Operations Teams. Problem solving is a big part of this role and you will need to be able to think on your feet to develop solutions for our sales team.

Reporting to the Group Drafting Manager, your responsibilities will include:

- Review sales proposals and develop preliminary site plans to ensure build feasibility
- Ensure that each Sales proposal complies with Developer Guidelines, Planning Restrictions, Zones/Overlays and Schedules, Rescode, Small Lot Housing Code, Building regulations and Metricon’s Policies
- Work with the Sales Teams to resolve customer requested design changes
- Ensure design changes are responsive to Metricon Variation Policies, Building Regulations, Construction Methods and Good Design Practice
- Ensure your teams work, feeding into Operations, maintains consistency, quality and compliance, which help drive operational outcomes
- Foster a positive working environment keeping your team motivated and performing
- Set, monitor and maintain the individual and team KPIs
- Develop and train your team and recommend and implement improvements to productivity and output
- Continuously develop knowledge of Metricon products, services and processes in order to confidently interact with the Sales, Operations, Design and Construction teams; and
- Communicate with various levels of management to effectively deliver team objectives.

- Diploma of Building Design & Drafting (or equivalent) and advantage
- Experience in a leadership position is preferred
- Ideally 5+ years in a residential REVIT / AutoCAD Drafting and/or Design experience
- Are familiar with Building and Planning Regulations and Developer Approvals
- Can design Site Plans for Earthworks, Cut and Fill, Batters and Retaining Walls
- Understand how Sales and Operations work together
- Are an effective Decision Maker
- Have the ability to effectively negotiate and advocate in disputes
- Possess excellent problem solving skills
- A focus on delivering a quality service to our customers; and
- High level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.
