**Summary of Role**

This role is designed to support the local entity, and Country Manager in supporting all Human Resource based activity within the Australian Market. This role will support and contribute to the training, onboarding and offboarding of employees, in addition to administering the employee based policies and supporting functions which relate to employee benefits, leave & payroll management.
- This role will be the first point of contact for employee queries.

**Location**: Hybrid model - A physical presence to schedule with management will be required at the Sydney Office.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Support the company onboarding process making sure new employees have all equipment, systems and uniforms from day 1.
- Work with Talent Acquisition & Development Manager and local managers to support the ongoing Employee Training program (University & other external training)
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
- Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies.
- Support the Talent Acquisition and Development Manager and local managers in rolling out bi-annual performance appraisals and keep the Leapsome platform up to date.
- Maintain employee files and records and make sure HR Systems (ADP, Polyglot) are up to date.
- Ensure compliance with labor & workplace regulations
- Help our employees, managers, and act as HRBP in a variety of HR-related topics
- Make sure Global HR initiatives are implemented locally
- Support the QHSE Manager in organising safety training sessions, booking employees’ medical checks and follow up on results
- Support QHSE Manager and Country Manager in keeping all employees certifications up to date and create a system to flag expiry dates
- Organise police and background checks for new and existing employees
- Support the Team in the offboarding process
- Participate in the review of HR processes in order of continuous improvement of their quality
- Ensure the HR support for the Administration, Legal & Compliance, and Quality systems

**Required Skills**:

- Effective problem identification and problem solving relationships with internal and external resources
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict handling skills.
- Being fluent in English is required
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems will be a plus
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
- High level of customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

**Experience & Education**:

- 2-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience working within a multi-national organization.
- Experience working in an Electrical / Construction sector is desirable
- Completing projects independently with mínimal guidance
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field highly regarded.

**Travel**:

- Travel will be required occasionally and based on the needs of the region.
- Availability to work from home
